Shut the Front Door ... Day 41 ... Cleanup and Glass Art

Like most of the east coast, we're doing some storm cleanup.

We don't like to leave so much snow on the deck when we know there's a warm up and rain in the forecast. Too much weight on this much space could be a disaster.

 

This is my husband's, "you better not be putting these pictures on the internet", look.

Yep, clueless.

I spent most of the day working on a few projects that I've wanted to try for a little while now.

 

Glass art.

 

You choose a few selected pieces from a random collection of glass stuff.

 

You up-cycle those pieces into art and/or something useful.

 

An old vase,

some blue decorative stones,

 and a crystal bowl become a...

garden mushroom.

 

 An old cruet bottle,

 some river rocks,

and an old citrus pressing bowl become a...

mini garden bird bath.

 

A small flower vase,

and a vintage china tea cup and serving saucer become a...

bird feeder.

 

Now all I have to do is wait for summer to get here.

I'm so impatient.
