Who hasn't seen these before?
Raise your hand......
Anybody?
Nobody?
I thought so.
At some point in your life, you've seen at least one of these.
Probably at your grandma's house.
Well these little end tables came from my grandmother's house.
If you've read my previous posts about some of my grandmother's furniture, you'll know that no one wanted them, so I gave them new life.
A little green paint.
A little blue paint.
I know at this point it's really hard to tell the difference between the green and the blue but it gets better. I hope promise.
And a little sealer.
Now at this point I have two pretty colorful end tables.
But seriously, who would want green and blue end tables?
So I bought 2 little step stools.
I scrapped the labels off (what a pain that was).
Painted one blue.
Painted one green.
Applied sealer to the painted areas then used a dark stain for the seat.
Now I have 2 cute little pre-school size desks with matching stools.
I don't think my 7yr old grandson cares if it's pre-school size.
His knees were almost lifting it off the floor.
The blue one.
The green one.
These little desks are for sale at Newport Market Place.
I'm linking this project up at Primitive & Proper today.
so cute- what a great little desk! the color is so fun!

DeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteLove this... what a great idea... love the color choices too. These would be perfect for a in-home daycare and definitely for grand kids. I have a similar one and will be doing this for my granddaughter. Shared on Pinterest!
Thank you Kathy.
