The Night Nemo Came to Town
No this post isn't about a cute little clown fish looking for Australia.
It's about a monster snowstorm that is currently b&%*h slapping the east coast (as if hurricane Sandy didn't do a good enough job of it).
Fortunately, the area that I live in is not getting the worst of this storm.
In Upstate NY, we've seen our share of monster snowstorms.
Quite frankly we find the epidemic of panic that other areas of the country succumb to ... humorous.
This short video, for example, is how we see the mad scramble to the store for items that you should already have on hand if you live a normal day to day life.
Take it away Vic Dibitetto.
I hope this video worked. It's the first time I've tried to add a Youtube video to my posts.
Anywho...
Day 39
The storm was supposed to start early this morning but we weren't seeing too much of it here at all.
This was taken a little after 1 in the afternoon.
It's grey, dull, and, although you can barely tell here, it's snowing.
Finally tonight just around dark it started coming down pretty steady.
This was taken a little after 10pm.
So you see, we are definitely not getting the worst this storm has to offer.
It's just business as usual around here.
On a side note:
I would also like to know if anyone has seen that miserable little rodent that told us we are going to have an early spring.
He went AWOL shortly after his prediction which I find highly convenient.
I think he should be held accountable for his part in the run on stores for items like bread and milk.
If people had not been hypnotized into believing that spring was coming, they would have been more sufficiently prepared for this storm and therefore eliminating the need for such panic driven raids on mini-marts everywhere.
